Geoffrey Roberts

Geoffrey Roberts (n. 1952) a studiat la North Staffordshire Polytechnic si a urmat cursuri postuniversitare la London School of Economics. In 1989 a publicat prima carte apreciata de public, The Unholy Alliance: Stalin’s Pact with Hitler. Au urmat numeroase alte carti si articole: The Soviet Union and the Origins of the Second World War (1995), The Soviet Union in World Politics, 1945–1991 (1998), Victory at Stalingrad: The Battle That Changed History (2002). In 2006, la Yale University Press i-a aparut lucrarea Stalin’s Wars: From World War to Cold War, 1939–1953. A fost decan si profesor la Facultatea de Istorie a Colegiului Universitar din Cork (Irlanda), precum si comentator politic specializat in istoria URSS si in relatii externe.
