Daniel Mendelsohn
Daniel Mendelsohn (n. 1960), eseist si critic literar american, a urmat studii de limbi si literaturi clasice la University of Virginia si Princeton University. In prezent este profesor la Bard College. Publica in mod regulat eseuri, cronici literare si articole in The New Yorker si The New York Review of Books. Dintre cartile publicate amintim The Elusive Embrace: Desire and the Riddle of Identity (1999), Gender and the City in Euripides’ Political Plays (2002), Waiting for the Barbarians: Essays from the Classics to Pop Culture (2012), Ecstasy and Terror: From the Greeks to Game of Thrones (2019).
