Robert Graves (1895-1985), celebru poet, romancier, critic si clasicist englez. A scris peste 140 de carti – poezii (Country Sentiment, 1920; No More Ghosts, 1940; Poems Selected by Himself, 1957; At the Gate, 1974), romane istorice (I, Claudius, 1934; Claudius the God and His Wife Messalina, 1937; The Golden Fleece, 1944; Homer’s Daughter, 1955), o autobiografie (Good-bye to All That, 1929) si carti de nonfictiune (Lawrence and the Arabs, 1927; The White Goddess, 1948; The Nazarene Gospel Restored, in colab., 1953).
